Located in Ilkeston Derbyshire PMB Pallet Express offer a national pallet collection and delivery service across the UK, Ireland and Europe as part of the Pallex Group Network, in addition they also offer Storage and Distribution from their National Distribution Centre based in Derbyshire.
Ben Lavin PMB Pallet Express Accounts Manager was looking to ensure they were getting the best value for money in terms of tyre performance, husbandry and overall service. The services of local tyre & service supplier UK Tyres Direct Ltd. based near Matlock, Derbyshire were introduced to maintain the fleet back in 2009 and worked closely with GITI Tire UK Ltd. to promote the GT Radial Brand for the PMB Fleet.
Mr Lavin states “Over the last 12 months our fleet which consists of over 20 vehicles ranging from 7.5, 18 and 44 tonne vehicles an addition to double deck trailers have been product and service hassle free since we introduced both UK Tyres Direct and the GT Radial Brand to the fleet. Furthermore we have managed to see an overall cost reduction based on service and PPK performance against our previous service and tyre product used on our fleet. ”
The products used on the fleet range from 17.5”, 19.5” and 22.5” sizes and GT879, GT988+ trailer and GT279 patterns respectively.
