TIA and Michelin Leaders Meet to Discuss Tire Industry

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) and Michelin North America participated in their annual meeting on Wednesday, April 25 in Greenville, SC at the Michelin North America headquarters.


Pete Selleck, Chairman & President of Michelin North America, along with senior members of his executive team met for over two hours with Larry Brandt, TIA President and President of United Tire Group, LLC, Randy Groh, TIA Vice President and Vice President of Product Marketing, U.S. AutoForce, Tom Formanek, TIA Treasurer and Regional Sales Manager of Stellar Industries, Roy Littlefield, TIA Executive Vice President and Kevin Rohlwing, TIA Senior Vice President of Training.

It was a broad range discussion that spanned the Tire Industry Association educational foundation, the association’s new training initiatives from automotive to commercial to earthmover to farm tire service training, as well as, government relations, Michelin and TIA’s successful joint scholarship program, finally how Michelin and TIA can find new opportunities for working together.

Larry Brandt, President of the Tire Industry Association said that “this was a very successful meeting that demonstrates the high level of service and value the Tire Industry Association brings in its educational efforts, advocacy and member benefits.  Manufacturers like Michelin appreciate how an active trade association, such as TIA, benefits all aspects of the tire industry.”
